- increase awareness of God's presence, spread the Gospel and celebrate God's love
- help people to grow and learn as Christians through mutual support and care

- be a good neighbour to people in need
- make more followers of Christ
- encourage more young people to take an active interest in the church, so they can discover for themselves the life-transforming nature of faith in Jesus
- reach out to all people, residents on the island and the many visitors, with the love of God
